Food Photography As Life...

This past month or so I have started taking photography courses at the local community college.  This is one of the images I took.  This is before postproduction. I then brighten them up in Lightroom and print them.  I took the words of my instructor seriously when he said that if you spend more than two or three minutes working on an image it no longer is editing, but creating art.  There is a time and a place for that, but with food I want to give the closest representation that I can when I'm going to try and not blur that line too much.  Class has been fun, we're spending a lot of time on composition, this just happened to be a subject that I liked very much.  The image at the top of the blog is also a new image that I took for class. That one has had no postproduction either, but came out lit perfectly.  I'm really proud of my new venture, and hope to be doing it a very long time.
